The Scottish Government have recently announced the award of funding as part of our Self-directed Support Innovation and Support in the Right Direction streams. The purpose of this funding is to build and develop the capacity of provider organisations, help develop the workforce and to ensure that support and information is available to individuals throughout Scotland to assist them in making informed choices.

Details of those organisations who have been successful in securing funding, including a summary of the work they will be carrying out over the next 3 years is now published on our website. http://www.selfdirectedsupportscotland.org.uk/document-library/funding

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the organisations who applied for this funding and look forward to working with the successful projects.

The Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health, Jamie Hepburn MSP attended Falkirk's Football Community Foundation "Get Onside" course delivered by the Shine Partnership on Thursday 11 June 2015 to hear how through a football theme, participants are being empowered to identify what's important to them, how to make the best choices for their support and how to gain more control over the care and support services they receive. All linked to the Self directed Support Values & Principles. A truly innovative SDS project.
